A study in Acts

Persecution beings - the disciples' response

20 October 2019 — Gill

Acts 4:1-31

Gill explores the beginning of persecution of the early church by the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

Three key sections are drawn from the text:

  1. Peter proclaims that Jesus is the only way to be saved (verse 12)

  2. Peter asserts that they should obey God rather than the Jewish leaders (verse 19)

  3. The disciples pray for boldness (verses 24-31)
